spring break
Spring break has started . Im sitting in my hotel room in Orlando eating up all the dead animals i bought at the local grocery store and planning the rest of the night. Most likely it wont involve anything too illegal or dangerous since i have my outdoor 400 opener this friday in Disney land or is it Disney World? Regardless, Disney land, disney world who gives a shit, im pretty pumped about this race as it is the first race since Febuary 13th. However, i always have all my cards on the table so who knows what will happen... Most likely, my hotel room will look like something out of the Hangover come sunday morning, which is very typical of me.
ive been catching up on my sleep since i had a late night friday, which i didnt get to bed till noonish satuday after having a last celebration before my outdoor season gets started... my boys had to send me off into sober living and track vacation for the next 3 or 4 months the right way.
Here are my workouts since last week
Thursday - 7 x 200@ 27 1 minute rest It was a cold, rainy, and windy day hence the slower workout
friday- 2x2x300 @ 42 1 minute between reps. 5 between sets- just a tempo day and i also accomplished my first one arm pullup since last year. a true one arm pullup from a dead hang with your other arm around your back. i was pretty pumped, so i did like 6 sets of 1 with each arm. These things wiped me out
Sat and Sunday off
Monday- Orlando- 2x150 and 6x60m full recovery
Tuesday- the workout was supposed to be 2x2x200 with 1 min rest btw reps / 20 btw sets but the first one went so well and it was a bit fast, so it got changed to 2x200 1 min rest then 15 min rest 1x200 then 7 min then 1x100. Reason for change was not too overdue it in the workout so i would feel good for the race
2x200 times were 22.9 1 min rest then 22.5
1x200 @ 22.4
1x100 no time
So i will try to give a update after my race this week. I know that if i make the finals, i will be ready to go even faster since the prelims i will have to shake some rust off. Im excited to get the first race out there and continue to build off of it throughout the season.
